As promised, the second blog this week featuring one of my little cousins. Well, of course they aren’ t little anymore, but I can’t help thinking of them that way!
Meet Erin & Shawn. They will be getting married in October of this year and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding. I have known Erin her entire life and have watched her grow up into an incredible young woman. The spot we chose for their photos is right behind her parent’s home on some farm land of her dads. This is the place where Shawn proposed to Erin one night during a walk! I don’t think he was thinking about it when he proposed, but what a wonderful spot for pictures….ahhh, photographer heaven! At least my version. Big fields, dirt roads, round hay bales, old fences, barns….yep – all the important things!
So, as a photographer, one of the things I’m always after is true interaction, real smiles, laughter, fun, love. In engagement shoots that often comes during those in between moments when the couple is interacting with each other and paying no attention to you. That is the case here as well, and since I’ve known Erin her entire life it makes seeing those moments mean even more…..knowing she is in love and happy…..I can see it when I look at these pictures, can you see it too?
